What are cookies?
Cookies are text files which contain a small amount of information, often appearing as a block of numbers and letters, which identify your device.
What is a web beacon?
A web beacon is a small, transparent pixel image which may be placed on a website or in an e-mail and is designed to track the Internet activity of a targeted visitor. Generally, when a user visits a website or interacts with an email that contains a web beacon, that information is recorded for analytical purposes.
Type of information which may be recorded by using a web beacon: user’s IP address, for how long a particular page was viewed, at what time, the browser type etc.
We use the web beacon for serving the cookie, count the number of visitors to a web page on our website, count the clicks on web pages, understand at what time the web page containing the web beacon was viewed and eventually create statistics around the effectiveness of our advertising or marketing campaigns.
